Saturn is one of only 6 elementary schools in the LAUSD to participate in this prestigious California Dance Institute program. Once a week, Saturn 4th graders are taught by a professional dancer, accompanied by a professional pianist, culminating in the Event of the Year production in June.
Given the current budget crisis, funding for such arts programs has been cut. Raising fund to continue participation in the CDI program will be one of the Rings of Saturn's highest priorities this year.
Choir
Third graders at Saturn participate in a 20-week music program during which they learn to sing as part of a choir.
As part of the annual Art Faire, Saturn students have an opportunity to perform in a Talent Show, affectionately known as Saturn Star Search!
